I know I shouldn't be blogging right now with the amount of assignments piled up...
But I just wanna express myself and find that this is one of the best ways.
So, many months had passed and it's finally December! Thinking of how I have lived my life this year, not something I can look and smile at. I think I have changed-for worse. I am  very disappointed with myself and upset at how I make certain decisions. I am tired of being demotivated and making the wrong choices. But as I ponder, if I didn't make those decisions, I wouldn't have experienced them. Learn from your mistakes, they say. I can't seem to do it. I keep falling into the same 'hole' again and again. I am tired. I am discouraged. I need God. I really do. How far have I fallen away from Him? You wouldn't want to know. And with the responsibilities I have in my hands right now, I am dealing with lives and I want to bring out the good in them. I know I am called to be someone who lifts people up, encourages those who are down, speak life into those who have lost hope in life... I can't do all that when I feel like I have lost hope. I know I need to get back up. Now all I can do is to seek the One who will be the only hope in my life. I believe that He will find me. Because when I am weak He is strong. Father in heaven, take my hand and walk with me...

I thought this year's birthday would be a lonely and boring one. Lo and behold! I had the best surprise of my life! :) Thanks to this special someone. I was actually feeling very very down the night before. I thought that this year would be the no-glamour-birthday compared every past year. I had surprises or had friends to spend with. In the morning, I had to drop mom at work and after that I was alone in the mall for TWO hours! ALONE. I walked everywhere thinking of what to do. Seriously I have never felt so miserable in my life. I wanted to watch movie ALONE but there wasn't any nice ones. I wanted to do my nails but it's a waste of $$$. So all I did was NOTHING. I went home after that and spent almost all day in the house (sis was at home but she was watching some movie and slept the whole time). Oh and I watched Donald Duck just to make myself happy. Well I think Donald did a grrreat job! He made me laugh :D. There, a picture of him!

So, the worship team came all the way to Penang this week to conduct a Worship Conference in Excel Point Community Church. The workshops provided were Sound Mixing, Song Writing, Worship Leading and Album Production.

I signed up for the Album Production workshop as it will really help me understand what it takes to produce an album as I may be going towards that direction =O!!
Boy, do I learn so much from this! So this are the stuff that was shared;

Thoughts ::

1. Objective of producing an album

5. Senior pastor's vision (do not live on somebody else's calling)

People needed to produce an album::

Executive Producer
Producer (envisions the whole production)
Music Arranger (improvise the raw songs)
Music Director (directs musicians)
Recording engineer
Mixing engineer
Mastering engineer (places all the pieces together)

So there are THREE parts in the production.
1. Pre-recording: 
*Line-up
*Songs
*Reference CD (which album do you want to sound like)
*Rehearsals

2. Recording
*Trial recording
* Have more sessions of recording to get the best sound
* Have a heart of worship in the midst of doing things

3. Post-production
* Get the general feel of the album
* Compiling first to last song
* Tracking (re-sing/overdub)
* Tuning (using softwares like auto tune, melodyne etc.)
* Quantizing (timing of music: drum replacement softwares)

I just got home after sending mommy to work. Gosh. The rain was really heavy. My first time driving in this kinda rain. Couldn't even see what's in front of me. How scary is that?!Anyways, I love the rain! It's so cooling!! :) And on a rainy day, this song came to mind :) *love oldies*

Got back from work last night and was DEAD TIRED. Now I know how hawkers feel. I literally stood for FIVE hours and got some orders mixed up (super stressful) :(  But it was all worth it! My boss gave me this!




Okay, so I got up this morning, all ready to bake some cupcakes and make fondants. Always wanted to make 'em but now with the amount of creativity and hard work needed, I'll think twice. :(  Took 6 hours to finish doing everything. So here are the cupcakes my friend and I baked. Our first time.. :) CUTIES! :D

Went out with one of my good friend, Deb.. Had a long, long talk and much laughter. Ate so much I'm full until now. Too bad I forgot to take pictures. We tried this potato filled with vege, seafood, flooded with sauce. It was yummy! But it was kinda too rich in taste. Will visit there next time and will take a photo of it. It looks as good as it tastes. :) I'm really glad I went out with her. If not I'll be at home, DOING NOTHING. AGAIN. Heh till we meet again! And I video called with someone special today, took pictures of myself while at it and they look like THIS:
