S E E K E E L E E

Went to Pulau Perhentian last weekend and it was THE best time of my life!! 7 of us went in 2 cars, drove 6.5 hours, and an hour on the boat until we reached our destination: Arwana Resort, Perhentian Besar. Hope this post will inspire you to go for short getaways like this too!
Meanwhile, at the back seat, thrilled coz we were about to reach
We had lunch at the Kuala Besut jetty area. There are a few small restaurants which you can choose from. The food prices start from RM6. Taste, I would say not bad... or... maybe I was too hungry. Don't remember the name of this place :(

My Bee Hoon soup

Our happy and excited faces right after we had reached the Kuala Besut jetty area
So after lunch we headed straight to the pier to catch our boat ride. We needed to pay RM5 for the Marine Conservation purpose, which I find, not that bad at all coz the water was nice, means the 5 bucks was worth it la.. Usually you need to arrange for the boat rides few days before, which I forgot and I called the hotel one day before to book but was too late so they gave me Kak Ani's number. I called Kak Ani, Kuala Besut Travel & Tours to arrange for our boat rides. Before we went I checked many times on the websites and on every page states RM70 per way. So we were quite prepared to spend over 100 bucks only for the boat ride. To my surprise, Kak Ani was so kind to give us I-don't-know-what -sorta discount, so per person, for a return ticket only cost RM60!! How?? Ask God, He must be the one behind this! :P And she is also a really, really helpful person. We sort of got lost (minor ones) and she managed to send someone to get us. God sent!

I booked the hotel through booking.com 2 weeks before our trip and it cost us around RM1.1k for 2 nights. Cheap huh? So per person was only about RM110, 2 nights. 5 of us shared one roomwhile the other 2 shared another. Upon check in, we were offered 7 cups of refreshing chilled strawberry guava cordial which really surprised me! So sad I forgot to take pictures of the room to show you how spacious it is! This is the only photo I have of the room :(

The boys worked really hard to make sure I sleep well :')

After a getting MY bed ready, we went to the B.E.A.C.H. Getting into the water was crazy, we kept screaming coz the dead corals that lie all over the place were really pointy and sharp. And there were, of course, many other sea stuff as well.. We got a little umcomfy until we saw clown fish and sea cucumber. Stayed there for almost 3 hours.

Wheee how I wish my camera could capture the clarity of the water

What's beneath the` water..? Testing the water before jumping in

Soon as we got ourselves cleaned after playing water, we went along the beach to look for food. There are around 5-7 restaurants but somehow only 2-3 are full. We went to Alu-alu Divers and had our dinner there. I ordered green curry beef and it was not bad at all! They use the same ingredients for almost all the food. And we can choose to have chicken or beef.
RM20 worth of satay I kinda like how the satay tastes

This is my green curry beef for only RM9.90 with a plate of steamed rice
Us before dinner :)
Oh, I forgot to mention, here is where we get WiFi connection. Here, Delton tells us a story :D
This is how our diner looks like
HUNGRYYYYY
alu alu divers (If not mistaken managed by many ang mohs)
After dinner, we walked back to our hotel and continued the night playing Taboo. The walk back was pretty challenging because it was raining cats & dogs. Worried that it will also rain the next day but thank God, it didn't. Our trip consist of 2 (real) adults and I am really glad that they are no ordinary adults, they played Taboo with us and we certainly had a great time laughing at one another. And so the night ended with that.

Here is the start of the most important and fun part of the trip!

SNORKELLING
The next day, on our agenda was breakfast, snorkelling, lunch, dinner. Haha! Yes, relaxing much! We had a good breakfast at the hotel before going to the sea at 9.30am.

Breakfast buffet line consist of:
Sausages
Scrambled egg
Tuna pasta
Fried rice
Porridge
Cereal counter
Bread counter
Nuggets
Selection of coffee, tea or orange cordial

If you plan on going to trips like this, I'd suggest you don't buy snorkeling packages before you go because it will SAVE YOU a fortune! I am serious. So thankfully our hotel has such service. The snorkeling package is only RM35 per person and it includes 5 spots which took us about 4-5 hours. We were really blessed to have 2 very careful and fun guides. For those who are short/long sighted, fret not because with addition of RM20, you can rent a pair of snorkel which gives you perfect vision. *thumbs up*

Ready to SNORKEL!

Ready to SNORKEL 2

LET'S GOOOOOOO
Notice the boat driver behind? He was like my personal guide. He led me everywhere and made me touch live corals! Dipping into the water is by far the most beautiful experience of my life. I am serious. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT BEFORE!! The moment I looked into the water, my heart literally beat super fast. and the whole time I was thanking God for making this trip possible and also thanking Him for creating such beautiful creations. :) I regret for not borrowing a under water camera from my friend for this trip. Anyway, I guess it just gave me more reasons to come next time! So, back to the water, I saw many many types of fishes, they were beautiful. Some were yellow, some were orange, some purple, some mixed. I saw a sting ray! I saw baby shark, I fed pretty looking fishes that weren't afraid of human beings, I had complimentary fish spa while at it! Haha! And I saw a huge turtle.. Everything was just priceless. I am so ever thankful for nature!
HAHAHA looks retarded. Don't care. It was freezing!!

Tried to capture fishes near almost surfacing beside our boat, FAILED.

Hi, it's me with my snorkeling gear
So after 4-5 hours of energy gone, we went to get ourselves cleaned up and then headed for lunch. Went to this place which serves burgers and we ordered FIVE! Hahaha too lazy to make decision. Waited pretty long for the food to arrive. But I guess it was worth the wait. Burger tasted good, mainly coz I was starving!
Where we had lunch
Selfie before lunch after snorkeling
Just a random shot coz so colorful :) I love colors!
Here's my beef burger, yum yum yum
We've been having lemonade since we stepped foot in Terengganu. They make good lemonades!
So after lunch, we went for a walk until the 'end' of the beach, we found hammocks so the boys slept in for a bit and we went to wash our feet in the clear blue sea water! After a while they got tired and rested (slept like logs) while I go have some alone time. :) I went to the beach, again. And Spent 1 hour there alone, took some pictures as I walk.

After lunch selfie

After lunch !

Oh and we met One Direction, you have no idea!

This one is a screensaver shot. The couple don't know shhhh
Then, at night, we went for dinner and we were really happy that we found this place. I ordered something really nice and affordable! Seriously, NO REGRET!! Let me show you!

This is Fisherman's Grill. RM20 :D
There you go, Fauna Beach Chalet Restaurant serves the best grilled seafood
So after dinner, we just decided to sit on the beach and chat a bit. However, a bit did not happen. we talked and talked and.... talked. erm, some pretty good and important stuff about church. :) And the night ended with a prayer. :)
Ta daaaaaa! right after the photo, we went back into our rooms and ZZZZZzzzzzz
The next day was just breakfast and then another swim at the beach and then say bye bye to island. That's all! Thank you for reading thus far! Hope you enjoyed the post and my long grandmama story haha and seriously, you HAVE TO get your butt to Pulau Perhentian (Besar). Byeeee! Ok let me end with some photos.
Hahaha keropok lekor lovers, you'll def love this place! A whole zone of lekor!
Lunch before we left. This is from April Cafe, RM13 (beef)

Hello! I'm back! :) I've been really busy with so many things that happened, most of them were from work. So it's 10 months now and I've gotta say I'm still enjoying the working life well at least almost all the time.
Many happenings took place these 10 months. And one of the most amazing thing was how God had helped me, showed me, taught me, loved me & the list goes on.

After graduation and having found a job so quickly, it didn't really bother me that I'm not doing what I love. I was already super thankful for the opportunity to work for a very strong brand. So I put my passion aside. Throughout the months of being an admin in the Sales Dept, I had never complained about being under paid for double degree holder though EVERYONE, literally, everyone was judging me and telling me what to do. Well, guess I was being ignorant of whatever they've been saying.

But after a while, I thought, I should start asking for what I want, I should ask God for the desires of my heart. Haha! And so I did. I was praying for a while that He would open doors for me in Marketing Communications. And after 2 months praying, I received news that the position I was aiming for was opened. My colleague had resigned. I was sad but hopeful at the same time. And so I took the chance to apply for the position. Boss saw, talked to me and said I wasn't ready. I took the comments and I was fine. Wasn't upset. Then 2 months later, found out another one resign. Never bothered me to apply again. Cutting the long story short, I introduced my friend the post and she got it. And miraculously we switched place. She took mine and I got into the dept I wanted all along.  PRAISE GOD! And also to cut another long story short,  I was promoted to the even more wanted position I applied earlier, one which I got rejected. Say whaaaa?!

Yes, God will give you the desires of your heart, if it is in His will too, I believe. And I also believe that everything happens in  the perfect time. I am so thankful. People cannot understand why I love working so much. I work very hard now and it's so crazy. But I still enjoy every single bit of what I do. It's really God's favour and blessings. He is awesome.

Besides work, something that I really really really wanna do is to sing. Yea. Like performing and to record an album. And again to cut the long story short, it was simply amazing that this passion was reignited. And it pushed me to actually.do it. I co-wrote a song together with 4 more people and recorded it. And guess what?! I found people with the same passion! We are working towards an album now. My life is EXCITING rite?

Alrite now. Signing off... here are some pics I can find to show you what I do at work and some of the people I work with. CONGRATULATIONS you made it here (since I yap yap yap for so long). HAHA.

Like the title of this post says, I'm really living my dream. And this cannot happen without the Almighty, really. :)

What I do at work 1: Food, product and lifestyle photo shoot
What I get to do at work 2: Attend some crazy events and get to go super close to the performers,
like these two DJs from AFO Radio.
What I get to do at work 3: Eat a lot D:

to have to remain positive all the time.

Got home later than usual today with full bladder, empty tummy, tired mind & body, DYSFUNCTIONAL LIFTS (which was ok after 15 minutes of waiting). Happy that I came home to homecooked dinner by Mum.. We haven't really had dinner at the same table (at home) for a really long time.

However, they'd finished eating and were looking at me eat while chatting away. Mum was mentioning about a job opportunity which she thinks I'd be interested in (which I am).. And then I told her how much I'd like to work in that line. And she suddenly said this, "you can meh? Your English so cha." so usually I'd be crushed on the spot but I didn't. I remained calm. And then she continues, "if you're good, it will catch my attention when I read your essays, which it didn't." So I just say what I usually say "you are always negative about me.." And she added, "you want me to lie to you ah?" So that completely SHUT me up. I was really hurt and speechless. I didn't even bother to reply her. I went off, washed the dishes and went into my room. I'm just really, really sad that I seem to be never good enough for her (not sure about my dad coz he just never comments). I cried. I don't remember how many times this same incident (same words, same message, negativity) happened but they are uncountable. I grew up with compliments from outsider but seldom from the people whom I hold close to me. I just had to live with it. And every time when I bring this (my feelings) up, Mum would say that I am too sensitive.

I went to the toilet, still thinking of the negatives spoken to me and suddenly recalled a story shared by someone whom I admire.

A story of how she GREW OUT of the really awful stuff her mum said and made her believe that she was all bad. Because she knew they weren't true, she knew she has so much of good about herself and that was because she had finally understood how much effort God puts in creating her and how God thinks of her, it made me feel so much better. And then I am reminded again that I am wonderfully made. THANK GOD for letting me remember so well!

Whatever drama that was happening up there didn't only happen because my "English isn't good" okay... but many other things I wouldn't want to mention here (in case I suddenly appear to be a drama queen to you).

So ya, now that I got myself back up again, I'd like to say to many other people who are always hearing negatives from your loved ones, LET IT GO! Keep the good, throw the bad. Never believe that you are stupid, ugly, etc. But remember, there's a fine line between negative comments (that destroy you) and constructive criticisms (that grow you). All the best!
It's either you believe in the negatives and mourn all day or you LET IT GO and believe you are BETTER than that.
Life's gonna be better tomorrow! Goodnight!

So I just went on a 3-days trip to Kuala Lumpur. I was pretty excited over this trip because, first, I was gonna meet Jesus Culture, second, I was gonna drive there, third, the thought of having a getaway! So I started the journey with 3 other amazing people. We left Penang about 6:15am coz we wanted to have breakfast at Foh San Dim Sum in Ipoh. Reached Ipoh at around 8:00am and found out Foh San closes on Tuesdays. #!@&^%# . Yes, that was the look on our faces. Haha!! So we opt for another place which I had forgotten the name. They also serve dim sum. Not as good and super pricey coz clearly they knew we were not locals... Sad... So after breaky we continued our journey. Reached KL, rested a lil' while and then shopped a lil' while and then off to City Harvest Church KL for JESUS CULTURE concert!

The Experience
To be honest, I did not expect much from the concert or maybe I didn't know what to expect. All I knew was that I was gonna meet them face to face! So we reached there quite early and then found out that we were on the PRIORITY list and that we were going into the hall before others. That really made me feel so special :) So we went in like 30 minutes before the concert started and that 30 minutes did feel a little longer than usual. Haha. So yea, the band came out, led a few songs and then the band director came up to share. Banning Liebscher is his name. His sharing was really powerful. It was very subtly powerful. Some points that I still remember up till now is:
1. We are all called by God but only few are chosen. The chosen ones are the ones who respond to the calling.
2. We all ought to seek God and he loves to be found by us. This is illustrated by the Hide 'n' Seek game where Banning would purposely stick his foot out so that his kids would FIND him. He was mentioning that God is already sticking His foot out for us to find Him. WOW! Just WOW!

After the sharing, the band continued to lead us into worship. I was told Kim Walker wasn't feeling very well so she didn't sing much that night, which was fine but that's not the point. Haha so the night ended with a silent 'moment'. It was not JUST ANOTHER MOMENT OF SILENCE. That moment was God-moment. It was spirit filled moment. Tears streamed down my face. I could hear people in the hall sobbing. I knew that the Holy Spirit was just touching each one. I haven't felt this in a long, long time. And at that time, no one was singing, no one was speaking. It was literally just the synthesizer and God was moving so tangibly. What a way to end the night- with God. I left the place feeling different. It was such a refreshing time I had there. It was AMAZING!

Here are some shots I got that night:

We were taking pictures of the screen before the team came out...

Here's Banning Liebscher sharing his heart

View from the back.Hands were lifted up to praise our one and only awesome God! Beautiful!
This was us after the concert! Happy faces!

With Mei Ling before the the whole thing started.
After the concert we were just sitting down, chit chatting about every little thing like the sound and lighting and how great God's presence was... and ....suddenly Sean spotted them!

PAPERPLANE PURSUIT!

Only half of the band here but who cares?!
Acting silly. No. Actually just looking at somewhere else. :P
Paperplane Pursuit is one of a few Malaysian bands who makes really good music. When we approached them, they were like "how did you guys know about us?" Now, that's really funny coz they didn't know they were famous? So humble! So here's one of my favs:

Beat of Your Love is played on the radio already!

And so the next 2 days were filled with shopping and walking, mostly.
Went to a few malls which I totally adore. It feels really different there. I felt like a village girl walking into a city. That's sad righttt?? However, I was super happy that I got to watch a fashion show by SEED. Saw so many local celebs and famous people whom I only got to see in TV and magazines! Psyched! Pictures below:
SEED's spring/summer collection 2014.
I. saw. Gillian. Hung. OMG!! I've always saw her only in Mags or in the TV. She's an icon! We, Malaysians need to see how our own people can be so super successful and not criticize or leave the country.
To sum it up, the 3 days I spent there in KL were really amazing. I am so thankful to have had this time off from work and everything else back here just to see the 'world' out there. Ahhhhh now that I'm back, what's next? These are what I had gotten out of this trip:

1. Encounter with God
2. Gained some courage and confidence in driving to an unfamiliar place
3. Appreciate my country
4. Go back there in a few months

Whoa!! You managed to finish reading this post! Well done!

Thank you for reading and goodnight! :)
