S E E K E E L E E

It was like a normal day at work today, actually it was more fun than usual because I was putting up a 'wish' tree which is exactly a Christmas tree. So the whole morning I was at the lobby and setting up the tree. Suddenly, one of my colleagues (there were a few of them there) who were looking at us from afar called my name. As I turned, he said "Sheryn! Sam wanna talk to you." and I asked what is it about and he then said "Sam asked why the hell are you so fat?" and then they laughed. The person who called me was David. And trust me, I don't even know them well at all. I have been working here for about 1 year plus now and the amount of words exchanged can actually be counted. The point is if my bff were to say that to me, I don't mind. If my bf were to say that to me, I actually don't mind. BUT it was them who were almost strangers, whom I don't even talk to who said such hurtful and insensitive words. They thought it was funny. Well no. It wasn't.

I then stared at them and I was speechless. I let the words ring in my head. I let the emotions swing like madness. I held it in. I went back to the office once the tree was done. Then I sat at my desk feeling like crap. I needed to let out. I really needed to cry. And I couldn't hold back anymore. So I went to the toilet and released like 2 gallons of tears. I was texting my colleague coz she witnessed the whole thing. She then said that she needed to tell our boss as this is justice. And it WAS NOT RIGHT for them to do that at all. So she went ahead to tell our boss with my permission. I went back to office right after. It was the most embarrassing moment where I could not even look straight when I walked.

Little did I know, someone from the other cubicle heard me crying and informed the human resource dept. So great, now the HR knows. And the thing is they came to the toilet and saw me walking out and called my boss right away. Boss told them everything and they asked if I wanted to report. Of course not la. Not really a serious thing. And in the end the two guys came up and apologize to me. Although I knew they weren't sincere in their apology, I forgive them. Before they left. I told them in my unstable voice, to NEVER say anything like that to a girl anymore.

So what's the conclusion? Why do I find this post-worthy?

I believe there are many guys out there who are not careful at all with their choice of words. They may think it's funny, they may think it's nothing and like what the 2 guys came up to me and said "come on lah, we weren't serious", let me tell you, it IS serious. it IS hurtful. I actually told myself to believe that it isn't a big issue and I should just keep quiet and keep it to myself. But again and again my colleague reminded me that they need to learn that they can't do that anymore. Not to me. Not to anyone else! And yes! I am convinced. They need to learn and they need to change. So yes, if anyone has said anything that is really insensitive and hurtful, you should take action.

I am a happy girl now. :)

The past 2 months have been insanely horrible for me. Well, not exactly the whole of 2 months but  almost. I kept getting into accidents. Car accidents, falls, knocks, car problems etc. First was, I knocked someone's car from the back. That was because I was putting on my lipstick on the way to work and my eyes were fixed on the rear mirror, thinking the car in front of me started moving, I drove and knocked her. Thankful that she was a nice and polite lady and we exchanged numbers and then got everything fixed asap. Total cost was RM250. So settled.

Second was, 2 weeks after the car accident, my car tyre punctured. I was rushing to church that Sunday morning and my tyre was already flattened. Got it fixed after a few days with bf's help. Total cost was RM10. Settled.

Third, 2 weeks after the flat tyre, I experienced a fall. went to bf's sister's house, her dog ran out and I chased thinking that she will get hurt by other dogs coz she super tiny. Didn't see a puddle of water (leaked from the ceiling) and I slipped while running and i fell. Hit the left part of my body and got bruised. Left chest was in severe pain but after a few days and med I recovered from the aches. Settled.

Fourth was, on a Sunday morning when I was going to church, I saw a flat tyre. AGAIN!!! You don't know what sorta feelings I had inside. The anger would easily kill 10000 men! So yeah my dad helped me fix this time and found that there was a nail in my tyre. Ok, settled.

Now, fifth, I was driving back from work on a Wednesday night. driving pass my usual route. Suddenly a car from the left junction just decided to turn out. I couldn't brake in time and I went straight to the car. I knocked my chest on the steering wheel, thank God no big injury. But her car was wrecked badly until it couldn't move. mine was also quite bad. The accident caused the entire road to be jam and I was stuck there for more than an hour. This time, it's clearly not my fault at all. I was focused on driving. I did the best I could. If I were to avoid her, I'd go head on with the cars on the opposite lane. So yeah after 3 weeks only managed to send my car to the workshop because of all the procedures. *SIGH*

Yes, I went through a lot and it felt like hell, well at least for me. I was a bit angered that I had to go through these. But come to think of it, I think those experiences could actually help me in the future, I mean next time when things like that happen, I'd know what to do. And apart from this, I made a new friend from my fifth experience! How great is that?!

I think if I wasn't grateful and if I was only questioning God on how He would allow me to go through such situations, I'd probably be very angry inside. But because I was able to see the good in the bad, it's actually okay la, not that bad... However now that my car is in the workshop, (and it will be there for LONG.) my parents had to sacrifice the new car for me to use and they take the old one. Honestly everyday I feel so thankful that my parents are so sacrificial...

See! When I begin to be thankful in bad situations, eventually the situation won't be too bad one lah. So anyone reading this, remember to stay positive, be thankful even when life gives you poop.

Thank you for reading!

I am back after... almost 2 months?

I know I don't appear as a thinker but let me tell you, I am. I think a lot actually. Sometimes too much! Haha!

So yeah, recently I've been thinking about my life a lot like I'm already 24 and I have not achieved much as compared to some of my friends who already own cars, houses, businesses and pay for insurance and stuff. I only pay for my food, petrol, phone bill and some other miscellaneous stuff. I don't even pay for my own shampoo! That's a bit too spoiled isn't it?

The purpose of this post is not to brag about how much of a spoiled child I am but to just be thankful and remind myself to stop complaining...

SO NOW THAT I HAVE SAID WHAT I SAID, I want to pledge (wah so serious eh?) to get myself an insurance plan which also helps me save! Hey! That's a plus point! I NEED TO SAVE SOME CASH! I wanna go travel, buy house, buy car, get married, have kids, ok that's all for now. Haha So I need to start doing something already!

On another note, my dad he asked me if I wanna get myself a new car. O.O Like how does he suppose I can afford a new car???!!! And then it got me thinking... Should I? With my compulsive spending?? Nah. Let me learn to live with my insurance plan first. *peace out*

Thought I shouldn't make a hooha about this but oh well, writing mood kicking in and I have something to write about. Haha. Bear with me!

2 weeks ago some church friends planned to go for a retreat. First to Gerik, Perak then to KL. I couldn't make it with them for the first 2 days coz of work so decided to travel by bus and meet them in KL. I only realised that it was the Raya hols like 4 days before my trip and I haven't booked or bought any ticket yet. I quickly went to Aeroline's website to book. I'm pretty amazed by how they made booking a ticket so easy. Like no fuss at all. And everything was simple. So to my shock, my ticket was the last seat they had for the date and time. And I totally believe this is God's favor. Thank you, Lord!

Dad dropped me at Queensbay Mall, where their pick up point is. They have an office there right at the main road. Checking in was easy too! I just went to the email in my phone, showed them my serial no. got my ticket and I was done in, say 2 mins?  Super fast. However the ticket I bought was supposed to be an 8am bus and they bus came at 8.30am. Still ok la. Not that bad actually..
The moment I stepped into the bus I was already quite surprised at the good upkeep. Coz previously I think I've always taken the cheapest bus available coz was travelling with a bunch of ppl. And also, was a teenager. Haha! So, my seat wad right at the back, right smack in the centre. Fine. I've no problem coz already prepared myself when I saw my seat on the website. One thing I admire most is the screen that has so many movies, songs, video clips stored for me to watch. And better still coz I was alone! No need to feel awkward!
Here's how the screen looks like:

And one more super cool thing. Since I was seated at the centre, my screen can shift one. So I can pull it as close to me as I want! Super thankful! So I watched This Means War and many other random clips.

Okay. Besides the super cool screen, they have super the cool service I tell you! About 30mins after we've settled down, the bus steward came to deliver sandwiches. Omg. I didn't even expect. Oh before that, he went around giving out headphones too. But I didn't take coz I was already watching something with my earphones. Haha that's like the first thing I did. PLUGGG INN!!!

So after the sandwiches he came giving me a bottle of mineral water. ?#$?_)@)? Cool. And then he came giving me a piece of blanket!?#%@&#:# I was really cold. So nice. And then he went around asking "coffee, tea or Milo?" Of course I chose coffee. So after a while my coffee came. It was really good white coffee okay! And it helped me warm up. Wahhh Aeroline why u so efficient?!
Ok. So the best part is that I was really comfortable the whole journey. It didn't feel like I was in there for 4-5 hours. Coz I was like so occupied with amazement. Haha! So I had to wait until my friends arrive which will be like 5-6 hours later so I had to hang around wherever the bus dropped me. Right. Before I forget. The drop off is at Corus Hotel, Jalan Ampang which is just opposite KLCC. Besides that there's also another not-so-glam mall, Avenue K. I walked to KLCC with my heavy bag on my back. Looked totally like an explorer.

And I didn't feel good coz the mall there like so high class and I wasn't like in the right place. So after like 1 hour just walking around finding toilet and the correct exit, I walked out and I kept walking to find Avenue K which I think I belong more there. I just couldn't find. For a moment I was actually scared. It was my first time there leh. So u think I walked about 10 mins then I saw crowds of people looking up and all with either cameras or mobiles on their hands. So I turned around and looked up. Omg!! It's the twin towers!! Ok I know I will sound a bit stupid but I've always wanted to take a selfie with them towers! And I accidentally found them!!! Of course of course I took selfies. But wasn't very successful coz it was so hot I could barely see my screen.

After selfie. Realised I couldn't even see shadow of Avenue K, so I walked back to KLCC. Saw Rolls Royce for the first time. There:

Then I tried another exit. And it was the correct one. So I walked over and I was starving. So I went to have the cheapest meal-Subway sandwich. They have Tandoori Chcken Subway! Yummz!

Oh Ya didn't mention this. I dropped my Note 3 and the screen blacked out. So I had to save money to send it for repair. Sobs. Back to lunch, by far the longest lunch I've had. Haha I sat there alone for so long. Was thinking of what to do besides shopping coz my bag back there was pretty heavy, I thought of manicure. So I searched for one but one of the workers said they don't have a manicure parlour there.. few mins later I stopped in front of a facial and spa place and they also do manicure! Woohoo! So to cut the story really short, manicure was horrible coz I had to teach her how to apply the color. But I appreciate the time spent there coz the lady was quite nice. Cost me RM25. In the end I happy she happy. There the pink one:

Just a while after I was done, my friends called and say they're reaching soon to pick me up! Whee! So end of story. It was fun travelling alone. Something I didn't see myself doing. Ok for some you might think omg like that also want to boast? Yes please. I am a very dependant child. So for me to do this is already a huge improvement. Even my mum called and asked me to be careful a million times. As if I'm in a foreign country. Haha! Hope to do this more often though. I enjoy being alone too!

Thank you, Aeroline, if you ever see this. I will recommend this bus my friends next time because of the great experience I had!

Thank you for reading! :)

Went to Pulau Perhentian last weekend and it was THE best time of my life!! 7 of us went in 2 cars, drove 6.5 hours, and an hour on the boat until we reached our destination: Arwana Resort, Perhentian Besar. Hope this post will inspire you to go for short getaways like this too!
Meanwhile, at the back seat, thrilled coz we were about to reach
We had lunch at the Kuala Besut jetty area. There are a few small restaurants which you can choose from. The food prices start from RM6. Taste, I would say not bad... or... maybe I was too hungry. Don't remember the name of this place :(

My Bee Hoon soup

Our happy and excited faces right after we had reached the Kuala Besut jetty area
So after lunch we headed straight to the pier to catch our boat ride. We needed to pay RM5 for the Marine Conservation purpose, which I find, not that bad at all coz the water was nice, means the 5 bucks was worth it la.. Usually you need to arrange for the boat rides few days before, which I forgot and I called the hotel one day before to book but was too late so they gave me Kak Ani's number. I called Kak Ani, Kuala Besut Travel & Tours to arrange for our boat rides. Before we went I checked many times on the websites and on every page states RM70 per way. So we were quite prepared to spend over 100 bucks only for the boat ride. To my surprise, Kak Ani was so kind to give us I-don't-know-what -sorta discount, so per person, for a return ticket only cost RM60!! How?? Ask God, He must be the one behind this! :P And she is also a really, really helpful person. We sort of got lost (minor ones) and she managed to send someone to get us. God sent!

I booked the hotel through booking.com 2 weeks before our trip and it cost us around RM1.1k for 2 nights. Cheap huh? So per person was only about RM110, 2 nights. 5 of us shared one roomwhile the other 2 shared another. Upon check in, we were offered 7 cups of refreshing chilled strawberry guava cordial which really surprised me! So sad I forgot to take pictures of the room to show you how spacious it is! This is the only photo I have of the room :(

The boys worked really hard to make sure I sleep well :')

After a getting MY bed ready, we went to the B.E.A.C.H. Getting into the water was crazy, we kept screaming coz the dead corals that lie all over the place were really pointy and sharp. And there were, of course, many other sea stuff as well.. We got a little umcomfy until we saw clown fish and sea cucumber. Stayed there for almost 3 hours.

Wheee how I wish my camera could capture the clarity of the water

What's beneath the` water..? Testing the water before jumping in

Soon as we got ourselves cleaned after playing water, we went along the beach to look for food. There are around 5-7 restaurants but somehow only 2-3 are full. We went to Alu-alu Divers and had our dinner there. I ordered green curry beef and it was not bad at all! They use the same ingredients for almost all the food. And we can choose to have chicken or beef.
RM20 worth of satay I kinda like how the satay tastes

This is my green curry beef for only RM9.90 with a plate of steamed rice
Us before dinner :)
Oh, I forgot to mention, here is where we get WiFi connection. Here, Delton tells us a story :D
This is how our diner looks like
HUNGRYYYYY
alu alu divers (If not mistaken managed by many ang mohs)
After dinner, we walked back to our hotel and continued the night playing Taboo. The walk back was pretty challenging because it was raining cats & dogs. Worried that it will also rain the next day but thank God, it didn't. Our trip consist of 2 (real) adults and I am really glad that they are no ordinary adults, they played Taboo with us and we certainly had a great time laughing at one another. And so the night ended with that.

Here is the start of the most important and fun part of the trip!

SNORKELLING
The next day, on our agenda was breakfast, snorkelling, lunch, dinner. Haha! Yes, relaxing much! We had a good breakfast at the hotel before going to the sea at 9.30am.

Breakfast buffet line consist of:
Sausages
Scrambled egg
Tuna pasta
Fried rice
Porridge
Cereal counter
Bread counter
Nuggets
Selection of coffee, tea or orange cordial

If you plan on going to trips like this, I'd suggest you don't buy snorkeling packages before you go because it will SAVE YOU a fortune! I am serious. So thankfully our hotel has such service. The snorkeling package is only RM35 per person and it includes 5 spots which took us about 4-5 hours. We were really blessed to have 2 very careful and fun guides. For those who are short/long sighted, fret not because with addition of RM20, you can rent a pair of snorkel which gives you perfect vision. *thumbs up*

Ready to SNORKEL!

Ready to SNORKEL 2

LET'S GOOOOOOO
Notice the boat driver behind? He was like my personal guide. He led me everywhere and made me touch live corals! Dipping into the water is by far the most beautiful experience of my life. I am serious. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT BEFORE!! The moment I looked into the water, my heart literally beat super fast. and the whole time I was thanking God for making this trip possible and also thanking Him for creating such beautiful creations. :) I regret for not borrowing a under water camera from my friend for this trip. Anyway, I guess it just gave me more reasons to come next time! So, back to the water, I saw many many types of fishes, they were beautiful. Some were yellow, some were orange, some purple, some mixed. I saw a sting ray! I saw baby shark, I fed pretty looking fishes that weren't afraid of human beings, I had complimentary fish spa while at it! Haha! And I saw a huge turtle.. Everything was just priceless. I am so ever thankful for nature!
HAHAHA looks retarded. Don't care. It was freezing!!

Tried to capture fishes near almost surfacing beside our boat, FAILED.

Hi, it's me with my snorkeling gear
So after 4-5 hours of energy gone, we went to get ourselves cleaned up and then headed for lunch. Went to this place which serves burgers and we ordered FIVE! Hahaha too lazy to make decision. Waited pretty long for the food to arrive. But I guess it was worth the wait. Burger tasted good, mainly coz I was starving!
Where we had lunch
Selfie before lunch after snorkeling
Just a random shot coz so colorful :) I love colors!
Here's my beef burger, yum yum yum
We've been having lemonade since we stepped foot in Terengganu. They make good lemonades!
So after lunch, we went for a walk until the 'end' of the beach, we found hammocks so the boys slept in for a bit and we went to wash our feet in the clear blue sea water! After a while they got tired and rested (slept like logs) while I go have some alone time. :) I went to the beach, again. And Spent 1 hour there alone, took some pictures as I walk.

After lunch selfie

After lunch !

Oh and we met One Direction, you have no idea!

On the hammock which super hurt my burnt skin

A wallpaper shot which I adore

When you're alone, this is sort of a mandatory shot. Haha

This one is a screensaver shot. The couple don't know shhhh
Then, at night, we went for dinner and we were really happy that we found this place. I ordered something really nice and affordable! Seriously, NO REGRET!! Let me show you!

This is Fisherman's Grill. RM20 :D
There you go, Fauna Beach Chalet Restaurant serves the best grilled seafood
So after dinner, we just decided to sit on the beach and chat a bit. However, a bit did not happen. we talked and talked and.... talked. erm, some pretty good and important stuff about church. :) And the night ended with a prayer. :)
Ta daaaaaa! right after the photo, we went back into our rooms and ZZZZZzzzzzz
The next day was just breakfast and then another swim at the beach and then say bye bye to island. That's all! Thank you for reading thus far! Hope you enjoyed the post and my long grandmama story haha and seriously, you HAVE TO get your butt to Pulau Perhentian (Besar). Byeeee! Ok let me end with some photos.
Hahaha keropok lekor lovers, you'll def love this place! A whole zone of lekor!
Lunch before we left. This is from April Cafe, RM13 (beef)

THANK YOU FOR READING :)
