S E E K E E L E E

Hello! I'm back! :) I've been really busy with so many things that happened, most of them were from work. So it's 10 months now and I've gotta say I'm still enjoying the working life well at least almost all the time.
Many happenings took place these 10 months. And one of the most amazing thing was how God had helped me, showed me, taught me, loved me & the list goes on.

After graduation and having found a job so quickly, it didn't really bother me that I'm not doing what I love. I was already super thankful for the opportunity to work for a very strong brand. So I put my passion aside. Throughout the months of being an admin in the Sales Dept, I had never complained about being under paid for double degree holder though EVERYONE, literally, everyone was judging me and telling me what to do. Well, guess I was being ignorant of whatever they've been saying.

But after a while, I thought, I should start asking for what I want, I should ask God for the desires of my heart. Haha! And so I did. I was praying for a while that He would open doors for me in Marketing Communications. And after 2 months praying, I received news that the position I was aiming for was opened. My colleague had resigned. I was sad but hopeful at the same time. And so I took the chance to apply for the position. Boss saw, talked to me and said I wasn't ready. I took the comments and I was fine. Wasn't upset. Then 2 months later, found out another one resign. Never bothered me to apply again. Cutting the long story short, I introduced my friend the post and she got it. And miraculously we switched place. She took mine and I got into the dept I wanted all along.  PRAISE GOD! And also to cut another long story short,  I was promoted to the even more wanted position I applied earlier, one which I got rejected. Say whaaaa?!

Yes, God will give you the desires of your heart, if it is in His will too, I believe. And I also believe that everything happens in  the perfect time. I am so thankful. People cannot understand why I love working so much. I work very hard now and it's so crazy. But I still enjoy every single bit of what I do. It's really God's favour and blessings. He is awesome.

Besides work, something that I really really really wanna do is to sing. Yea. Like performing and to record an album. And again to cut the long story short, it was simply amazing that this passion was reignited. And it pushed me to actually.do it. I co-wrote a song together with 4 more people and recorded it. And guess what?! I found people with the same passion! We are working towards an album now. My life is EXCITING rite?

Alrite now. Signing off... here are some pics I can find to show you what I do at work and some of the people I work with. CONGRATULATIONS you made it here (since I yap yap yap for so long). HAHA.

Like the title of this post says, I'm really living my dream. And this cannot happen without the Almighty, really. :)

What I do at work 1: Food, product and lifestyle photo shoot
What I get to do at work 2: Attend some crazy events and get to go super close to the performers,

to have to remain positive all the time.

Got home later than usual today with full bladder, empty tummy, tired mind & body, DYSFUNCTIONAL LIFTS (which was ok after 15 minutes of waiting). Happy that I came home to homecooked dinner by Mum.. We haven't really had dinner at the same table (at home) for a really long time.

However, they'd finished eating and were looking at me eat while chatting away. Mum was mentioning about a job opportunity which she thinks I'd be interested in (which I am).. And then I told her how much I'd like to work in that line. And she suddenly said this, "you can meh? Your English so cha." so usually I'd be crushed on the spot but I didn't. I remained calm. And then she continues, "if you're good, it will catch my attention when I read your essays, which it didn't." So I just say what I usually say "you are always negative about me.." And she added, "you want me to lie to you ah?" So that completely SHUT me up. I was really hurt and speechless. I didn't even bother to reply her. I went off, washed the dishes and went into my room. I'm just really, really sad that I seem to be never good enough for her (not sure about my dad coz he just never comments). I cried. I don't remember how many times this same incident (same words, same message, negativity) happened but they are uncountable. I grew up with compliments from outsider but seldom from the people whom I hold close to me. I just had to live with it. And every time when I bring this (my feelings) up, Mum would say that I am too sensitive.

I went to the toilet, still thinking of the negatives spoken to me and suddenly recalled a story shared by someone whom I admire.

A story of how she GREW OUT of the really awful stuff her mum said and made her believe that she was all bad. Because she knew they weren't true, she knew she has so much of good about herself and that was because she had finally understood how much effort God puts in creating her and how God thinks of her, it made me feel so much better. And then I am reminded again that I am wonderfully made. THANK GOD for letting me remember so well!

Whatever drama that was happening up there didn't only happen because my "English isn't good" okay... but many other things I wouldn't want to mention here (in case I suddenly appear to be a drama queen to you).

So ya, now that I got myself back up again, I'd like to say to many other people who are always hearing negatives from your loved ones, LET IT GO! Keep the good, throw the bad. Never believe that you are stupid, ugly, etc. But remember, there's a fine line between negative comments (that destroy you) and constructive criticisms (that grow you). All the best!
It's either you believe in the negatives and mourn all day or you LET IT GO and believe you are BETTER than that.
Life's gonna be better tomorrow! Goodnight!

So I just went on a 3-days trip to Kuala Lumpur. I was pretty excited over this trip because, first, I was gonna meet Jesus Culture, second, I was gonna drive there, third, the thought of having a getaway! So I started the journey with 3 other amazing people. We left Penang about 6:15am coz we wanted to have breakfast at Foh San Dim Sum in Ipoh. Reached Ipoh at around 8:00am and found out Foh San closes on Tuesdays. #!@&^%# . Yes, that was the look on our faces. Haha!! So we opt for another place which I had forgotten the name. They also serve dim sum. Not as good and super pricey coz clearly they knew we were not locals... Sad... So after breaky we continued our journey. Reached KL, rested a lil' while and then shopped a lil' while and then off to City Harvest Church KL for JESUS CULTURE concert!

The Experience
To be honest, I did not expect much from the concert or maybe I didn't know what to expect. All I knew was that I was gonna meet them face to face! So we reached there quite early and then found out that we were on the PRIORITY list and that we were going into the hall before others. That really made me feel so special :) So we went in like 30 minutes before the concert started and that 30 minutes did feel a little longer than usual. Haha. So yea, the band came out, led a few songs and then the band director came up to share. Banning Liebscher is his name. His sharing was really powerful. It was very subtly powerful. Some points that I still remember up till now is:
1. We are all called by God but only few are chosen. The chosen ones are the ones who respond to the calling.
2. We all ought to seek God and he loves to be found by us. This is illustrated by the Hide 'n' Seek game where Banning would purposely stick his foot out so that his kids would FIND him. He was mentioning that God is already sticking His foot out for us to find Him. WOW! Just WOW!

After the sharing, the band continued to lead us into worship. I was told Kim Walker wasn't feeling very well so she didn't sing much that night, which was fine but that's not the point. Haha so the night ended with a silent 'moment'. It was not JUST ANOTHER MOMENT OF SILENCE. That moment was God-moment. It was spirit filled moment. Tears streamed down my face. I could hear people in the hall sobbing. I knew that the Holy Spirit was just touching each one. I haven't felt this in a long, long time. And at that time, no one was singing, no one was speaking. It was literally just the synthesizer and God was moving so tangibly. What a way to end the night- with God. I left the place feeling different. It was such a refreshing time I had there. It was AMAZING!

Here are some shots I got that night:

We were taking pictures of the screen before the team came out...

Here's Banning Liebscher sharing his heart

View from the back.Hands were lifted up to praise our one and only awesome God! Beautiful!
This was us after the concert! Happy faces!

With Mei Ling before the the whole thing started.
After the concert we were just sitting down, chit chatting about every little thing like the sound and lighting and how great God's presence was... and ....suddenly Sean spotted them!

PAPERPLANE PURSUIT!

Only half of the band here but who cares?!
Acting silly. No. Actually just looking at somewhere else. :P
Paperplane Pursuit is one of a few Malaysian bands who makes really good music. When we approached them, they were like "how did you guys know about us?" Now, that's really funny coz they didn't know they were famous? So humble! So here's one of my favs:

Beat of Your Love is played on the radio already!

And so the next 2 days were filled with shopping and walking, mostly.
Went to a few malls which I totally adore. It feels really different there. I felt like a village girl walking into a city. That's sad righttt?? However, I was super happy that I got to watch a fashion show by SEED. Saw so many local celebs and famous people whom I only got to see in TV and magazines! Psyched! Pictures below:
SEED's spring/summer collection 2014.
I. saw. Gillian. Hung. OMG!! I've always saw her only in Mags or in the TV. She's an icon! We, Malaysians need to see how our own people can be so super successful and not criticize or leave the country.
To sum it up, the 3 days I spent there in KL were really amazing. I am so thankful to have had this time off from work and everything else back here just to see the 'world' out there. Ahhhhh now that I'm back, what's next? These are what I had gotten out of this trip:

1. Encounter with God
2. Gained some courage and confidence in driving to an unfamiliar place
3. Appreciate my country
4. Go back there in a few months

Whoa!! You managed to finish reading this post! Well done!

Thank you for reading and goodnight! :)

I'm back again from I-don't-know-what-took-me-4 months to update my blog! Yay! Erm don't even know if anyone reads but I don't care. If no one reads, I will! And I can thank myself 30 years down the road (if I'm still alive, who knows).

So. I'm sure everyone had already done their resolution list like 35 days ago since '14 started and to be honest, nope. I haven't. And I believe it's never too late if I (at least) do it now... And as I'm writing this I didn't even prepare on what to write so imma just flow with what's in my heart and brains... Before I start on the list I'd like to recap my 365 days in '13 from my awesome memory (I eat a lot of fish so I think I'm quite ok one!). I may forget certain things but I'm sure they're not worthy enough to remain here. Haha ok. So last year was quite an interesting year for me coz I was a student and a working adult in the same year. I experienced both worlds in a year! Although the earlier part was fun-er, I never regretted to start work so soon after graduation. I was in Sarawak early March last year for a mission trip. Boy, that was interesting. I went to long houses, I cheated death TWICE. See how much the world needs me?! HAHA jokes aside, I thank God for keeping me alive. I was caught in a whirl pull while walking in the river. I didn't even know what was happening. All I wanted was to save my pair of slippers. Yes. I think I am that dumb *sobs*  and another death and life situation I faced when I was there was that I jumped out from the back of a four wheel drive coz the car was literally spinning 180 degrees and I was forced to jump down. Awwwh it was muddy and dirty and slimy. So yeah cut the long story short, I am still here lah! Alive and kicking! Okay, here are pictures you can see! :D too lazy to put many many so click if you wanna see more of my Sarawak trip.

This was before the whole hoo haa happened. The roads are not fully constructed yet.

And this is a long house in Sarawak, Malaysia. Stayed here for few nights. Loved the simplicity of village life.

Apart from that, had few projects to raise funds for the needy and last quarter of '13 finally graduated from college with my degree! Got a job in the best working place in the (my) world haha! Landed a humble position in Hard Rock Hotel Penang! I am so very thankful for that... So yeah that's about it. So let's get the new year resolution list party started already!

By the end of '14 I want to be able to:

* Finish reading at least 4 books
* Grow deeper in love with my ever loving God
* Spend healthily
* Sponsor a mission-based ministry every month with a certain amount of $$$
* Have a proper skin regime (coz I'm aging... It's about time I start)
* Eat healthier and on time (which means less deep fried snacks)
* Organize my responsibilities in a calendar planner (self-printed)
* Build relationship with people I meet at work
* Do a random act of kindness everyday if not, at least once a week
* Go to a concert (not trashy ones)
* Cook Chinese food (especially home cooked type of food)
* Wash my own clothes
* Get physically fit (Zumba, maybe?)
* Improve on my mood swings during RED season
* Sing better
* Communicate better

I really hope by the end of this year I can accomplish all that I've mentioned above. Then, my life (in '14) will be complete... I purposely write stuff that are achievable okay! :) Aight. Wish me all the best!! BYYEEEE!
Oh wait. Before I forget, since it's still Chinese New Year season now, not too late to wish you a very HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!
Those white stuff on my dress are little little horses. HOW CUTE and HOW FITTING for this year right??? You tell me!

OKAY. FINAL GOODBYE HERE!! ;)

Hello hello!! Finally finally FIINALLLYYY!!! I have some time for MYSELF!! Yes. Sometimes it's good to be self-ish. I've been sooo busy I dunno why. Like I never have time to actually sit down and stare at space and dream like how I always used to. Okay so I actually came out from my rented apartment to McD to use the wifi and was sooooo excited about having a big (ger) screen to look at (cuz I was using my phone a lot and the screen is wayyy too small). Alright I'll cut the crap and get to my main post- G R A D U A T I O N.
SO obviously it has been like what? 3 weeks since my convocation? Haha so yea finally get to experience somewhat a really boring graduation. My parents, grandpapa and BFF got to go into the hall with me and watch me go on stage and receive ma scroll (actually it was a board). The whole thing took maybe 2-3 hours. Can you imagine how dreadful it was??!! It only took me  seconds to walk across the stage, receive my board, let the dean flip the strings on my mortar board, look at the cameras, smile and then walk down. I pity my family. HAHAHA they had to watch the ENTIRE thing. Well okay, let me tell you something you might not know about me. All my life. I repeat. ALL MY LIFE. I always seemed to get into really silly and (most of the time) funny accidents. Accidents where most people would tell you NO ONE HAS EVER DONE THEM BEFORE and here you go, Sheryn does it. She's CAPABLE of anything. Hahaha. Yes. That's why I'm special the way I am. Thanks! So yes, during the convo, everyone receives a small slip which has our full name on it and we are supposed to HANG ON to that slip and guard it with our lives because that's the slip you pass to the announcer to announce your beautiful name when you walk to get the "scroll". IT IS IMPORTANT I must stress again. So I, as usual, was being very smart and decided to squeeze that tiny slip between my ring just because I was too "lazy" to carry it like it was 100000 TONS. And I actually felt quite smart that time. So we got into the hall, hear a few people blab how good our Universities are. And finally it was time for us to line up and go on stage. And guess what? I couldn't find the name slip. I panicked like I dunno what. I didn't know what to do and I actually felt like it's the end of me. I couldn't move around much cuz I wasn't supposed to AT ALL! I looked all over and I still couldn't find. Then I thank God for giving me such a creative brain! HAHAHAHA Everyone's seat was placed a booklet of the agenda of that ceremony and all the graduants name are printed on the last page. I found my name Sheryn Ng Sue Wern at that point I realised how beautiful my name is. OHMYGOODNESS!! Of course I tore my name out and the font was maybe 2X smaller than the original slip. BUT WHO CARES????? I got my name and I'm good to go!!! Phewww!! So just to let you know, I made the announcer giggled. HAHA. I bring joy to people's life. Yes I do! :D So at least I had a memorable convocation. Be jealous, all you who had boring ones! So after that we were supposed to take a group picture of maybe 200-300 people and it took FOREVER. I was so eager to see who was there to see me. So after a good 30 minutes of standing and getting into position, we were finally released! Everyone rushed to the stairs to get to the ground floor where I, the creative one, went into the bubble lift and went down. My friends spotted me in the lift and they were waving and shouting my name I felt like a STAR! Super pity them also cuz they waited for almost 2 hours for me. But it was really nice of them to go all the way just too see me run here and there like a mad person. Hehe. But a midst all that, I really wished my close friends (those from primary and high school) were there. It will be awesome if they were there too... Okay I don't wanna get emo now. It's a joyous occasion, come on! Above everything, I wanna thank God for bringing me this far. I thank God for even letting me graduate. I really wouldn't have done it without Him. Degree was so horrible. I literally struggled through that 2 years. I didn't really understood what I was studying cuz I had no basic. And POOOOF! Now I have the cert. Thank you Lord!! And secondly, I thank my parents... (haha excuse me a bit if you think I won the Grammy's). My parents were a great support! They still let me do a lot of outside activities even though I needed to study. And they were really supportive throughout. Ahh, I think I'm done now. Too many words for you and me. So are you ready for some pics of me??? YES I KNOW YOU ARE DYING TO SEE EM! LET THE SHOW BEGIN....

First off, here are the people whom I spent my 2 years with. Friendships built will never go to waste...
Introducing.... Leader of the pack, Chan.

 And the Assistant, Cheah.
 And the minion, Jesmine.

And another minion, Jon.

And a another minion, Imin.

Sorry for the blur pic, we were so excited to graduated we forgot to bring our camera. Hence, phone quality.
Secondly, my friends and family...

This is ma BFF, Serene.. If you've read my previous posts you'd know how big a part she plays in my life.

Here's Serene with my family, representing my sister who wasn't there...

Grandpapa, daddy and mommy.

And... Here are the ones who came. People whom I hold closely to my little heart. :') Was so glad they came.

Another shot cuz this one looks so happy! I like!

Didn't expect to receive any gifts but here are some, which, I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

Here's me being a retard in a not so retard uniform. Haha On my way to throw my mortar board...

Wheeeee!!!! This was my THIRD time throwing cuz I'm kewl like that haha!

and so... I have finally GRADUATED!!! YAY!!!

THE END

Finally. Yes! Finally!! After a long SIXTEEN years of (I wouldn't say books) education and learning, I, SHERYN NG, am graduating!! Woo hoo!! Never knew I'd get so hyped up about graduation day. I almost decided not to go. OMG. How can, rite??? So yea, made the right choice and also thanks to my parents' $$$! Went for the rehearsal earlier today and I dunno who was giving the speech but this person said something that is kinda true. There are only 3 most important days in a person's life;

1. Wedding Day 2. Birth of first baby 3. GRADUATION!!

My convocation is tomorrow and I'm suppperrr excited!! I even think of what nail colour to put on. Haha I'm vain like dat. So I went shopping alone earlier this morning and bought myself a (needed) white top, (a not so needed) necklace and ring, and a pair of black heels. I love H&M! Such last minute shopping and I still find the perfect stuffs.

I like this one! But too bad there's no collar...

Haha just had to be a retard.
Bought this at RM39! Original price was RM59.90 hehe good deal, no?

So yeah. I haven't been blogging for a long time now and I think I've kinda lost touch a bit. Hehe. I am boring myself now. So I guess I'd better not bore you too!  I'll be blogging about tomorrow soon. Stay tuned and here's a sneak peak of how I might look like tomorrow. Hehe more pictures to come! Till then, tata!!

*excuse my messy room*
*love my heels?*

Goooodbye!!!
*can't wait for tomorrow*
CHEERS!!!

Hello! It's been two weeks of work for me and I'm lovin' it! These 2 weeks had been really really busy for me. I never get to go home after work. And if I do go home, I get stuck in massive massive traffic jam. Which sucks. I never knew I'd be affected but yes, I am now. So for the past few weeks I've been considering moving to somewhere near my work place which is about an hour's drive from home. And finally found a place that is quite nice and suits my budget! So yes, I am moving in VERY soon. Talking about moving out from home. I actually never really got the time to sit down and feel whatever emotions la. But now that it is so near. I FEEL IT. Yes I do. I'm quite sad la apart from being excited. Like many people will def ask why would I wanna move out... I live in a small island... bla bla bla.. EH HELLO. I'm saving so much of petrol and saving the environment okay. And I also think it's time I moved out and experience life. Not like I will go party and all but just to be independent. So those who have so many many questions can stop now. I explain here de. And don't laugh at me please. I have reasons one okay. And coincidentally the government decided to increase petrol price. So yea, that adds to my reason. SAVE MONEY!! So yea now's 1:30 AM and I cannot sleep cuz I'm packing some of my stuff for moving and finally having some time to digest the fact that I'm moving. Big girls do cry. And I think I'm gonna cry (which I hope I won't). Cuz I dunno la maybe I'm a bit too dramatic. Haha! It's a mixed feeling la. Good and bad. I dunno. Praying that I will grow in this experience. To me, moving out, even I'm still in the island is a big thing ok. So please understand me. I've been pampered for far too long already, TIME TO GROW UP !!! And I hope I'd be able to blog more! Byeeee *Maybe my next blog will be about my survival* Wait for it!! :D
